Girls Who Lead is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the face of leadership in all industries by attracting and advancing women changemakers, entrepreneurs, and above all, leaders.
We are committed to ensuring all women have the confidence to overcome gender stereotypes, the determination to push the walls of gender barriers, and the network to jumpstart their careers as leaders.
High School and University Branches

Speaker Summit
We host a bi-annual Speaker Summit in Eastern and Western Canada where young women come together to learn from top industry professionals, engage in workshops with other students, and network with women in leadership to advance your career in leadership.
Mentorship Program
Are you a young woman ages 16-25 who is passionate about leadership and wants to kickstart your career? Apply to our Mentorship Program and be matched with a woman breaking down gender barriers in your aspired industry, whether this be engineering, law, medicine, politics, or fashion design, among others!

Why do we need Girls Who Lead?
Women are underrepresented in positions of leadership. And that’s not good for anyone: businesses, women, or stakeholders. Without meaningful representation in positions of leadership, inequality persists on a global scale. Research has shown that companies with greater gender diversity in leadership positions tend to have higher financial returns compared to companies with lower gender diversity.
Girls Who Lead is committed to bringing successful women with a diversity of life experiences to the table. We (1) offer women the network to break gender barriers and to fuel their careers in positions of leadership and (2) provide companies with a tangible mechanism for strengthening gender diversity on leadership teams.
